WHEN WHAT MATTERS IS THE CRAFT, THE  ATTENTION TO DETAIL AND THE PROVENANCE.

WHEN YOUR PASSION IS TO RESPECT TRADITION WHILE EMBRACING INNOVATION.

WHEN YOU ARE AGILE IN FORM, YET GLOBAL IN PERSPECTIVE.

WHEN YOU STRIVE TO BE THE BEST WHILE FOSTERING A COLLEGIATE COMMUNITY.

AN ARTISAN ETHOS, MATCHED BY A RELENTLESS PURSUIT OF EXCELLENCE, IS WHAT UNITES US.

That is why this year’s Dragon World Championship has chosen Chalmers as its official wine partner: a collaboration that unites three continents in celebration of craftsmanship, heritage and individuality. It is a connection
between family enterprise and the adventurous spirit that has carried old-world traditions to new shores.

For the first Dragon World Championship ever to be held outside Europe, the Royal Hong Kong Yacht Club has collaborated with a family-owned Australian winery renowned worldwide for its pioneering spirit. Chalmers is marking the occasion with a special release of Col Fondo as the official event wine: an undisgorged traditional-method rosé crafted from estate-grown, barrel-fermented Aglianico from Heathcote, Victoria. Dry, vibrant and refreshingly unpretentious, it is as at home at the dinner  table as it is beside the dock.

Winemaking

At Chalmers Wines, our winemaking philosophy is built around the concept of ‘gentle hand.’ We believe that the best wines are those that are made with love, care, and attention to detail. Our approach is rooted in patience, sensitivity, and a deep understanding of the land. We work closely with nature, using traditional methods and minimal intervention to coax out the unique characteristics of each grape variety. From traditional method sparklings to appassimento dessert wines, our range is a reflection of our commitment to experimentation, quiet observation, and experience. Every wine is a testament to the beauty of gentle winemaking.

They reduce their energy impact through the use of lightweight bottles, recycled materials, and solar power. The vineyard employs a diverse workforce and supports local schools and organizations. By fostering soils rich in microbial life and using drought-tolerant varieties, they minimize water usage and promote biodiversity.
