Montevecchio wines are all about simplicity and fun, but never boring. Grown at our Heathcote vineyard in central Victoria, which is home to over 20 different Italian grape varieties, the name means old mountain referring to the Cambrian origins of the regions famous red soils.
Here we grow more kinds of grapes than you could poke a stick at, so instead of challenging your linguistic or memory skills, we've simply chosen a mixed bag of the best tasting grapes from our Heathcote vineyard, singled them out or thrown them all in together to make a collection of wines that tick all the boxes - school night - mid-week pizza - BBQ on the deck - fish and chips - hot date - even plastic cup on the beach.
The delicious and approachable Montevecchio wines are inspired by the everyday drinking wines of Italy. The streamlined range includes a Bianco, Rosso and Moscato, delivering fresh and vibrant wines designed to be enjoyed anytime, anywhere.

Mother Block
The Mother Block wines are the essence of the Chalmers story. They trace our history as growers, then makers, championing Italian varieties that are so suited to our climate, and to our lifestyle. They talk of our red sand and limestone soils and the big sky of our beloved Murray Darling region. They are field blend wines made from climate-apt varieties that perform in the warm conditions of the Murray Darling, delivering accessible wines of personality, presence and a sense of place.
