Mother Block Rosé

The Mother Block Rose shows a lovely dusty pale pink hue alluding to a dry savoury style. With a classic strawberries and fresh cream nose, orange blossom, sandalwood, pink grapefruit and a touch of musk, it’s vibrant fresh and zesty. In the mouth you see red apple, wild strawberry, crunchy brown pear, florals and mouth watering burst of pomegranate seeds finishing, as it suggests, dry and delicious.

Our Mother Block range is at the heart of the Chalmers operation and showcases the source block from which we propagate our vines for the nursery from. These certified sustainable mother blocks are their new adopted home for our 30+ Italian varieties that thrive in the warm conditions of the Murray Darling under the vast canopy of the big blue sky.

Based on Sagrantino and Nero d’Avola, depending on the vintage and season, will also have touches of Nebbiolo, Vermentino, Dolcetto and more. A wine that is a snapshot of the Mother Block vineyard and field blended. Pick in the cool of the day, its fermented in stainless steel to retain freshness and vibrancy, once dry and spends a short period of time on lees to add some savoury texture and mouthfeel.
